Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to patients in a variety of settings, including home care and care homes. This role requires effective communication skills, the ability to follow care plans, and a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those in our care.
Duties
- Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support individuals in maintaining their personal hygiene and overall well-being.
- Help implement care plans as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and team members to ensure continuity of care.
- Document patient progress and any changes in condition accurately.
- Drive to various locations as required for home care visits.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care or a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with IT systems for documentation and reporting purposes is advantageous.
- A valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving travel between locations.
- Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
