Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and home care settings. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming in accordance with care plans
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence and dignity
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and update care plans as necessary
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to ensure personalised care delivery
- Support medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals (training provided if necessary)
- Ensure a safe environment by adhering to health and safety guidelines and reporting any concerns promptly
- Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes efficiently
- Drive clients when required, ensuring safe transportation for appointments or outings (driving experience preferred)
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of care plans and procedures related to personal care and health needs is advantageous
- Good command of English, both written and spoken, is essential for effective communication
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes are required
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
- Valid driving licence is preferred for roles involving client transportation
