We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Fellow in Respiratory Medicine to join our forward thinking and ambitious Trust and Respiratory Directorate. You will join an enthusiastic and cohesive team, based at the New Cross Hospital who work together as a large multi-disciplinary department to deliver high quality care to a population of over 450,000 people in Wolverhampton, and the surrounding region.
The Royal Wolverhampton NHS Trust is one of the largest acute and community providers in the West Midlands and offer sub-specialist services across a spectrum of respiratory medicine from sleep and ventilation to TB to bronchiectasis to CF to ILD. We are part of the Birmingham Regional Severe Asthma Service and assess and treat severe and complex asthma patients in our respiratory centre. We are a designated specialist centre for ILD. We are a regional centre for lung cancer with tertiary thoracic surgery, oncology and EBUS services. We provide satellite care for adults with Cystic Fibrosis. Our clinics are delivered in a dedicated outpatient facility which includes physiologist, physiotherapy, and specialist nursing support. Our research and development team can support the delivery of research studies, and we are a recruiter to NIHR studies. We are a teaching trust for the University of Birmingham.
For our in-patients , we deliver 7-day consultant service in 2 recently built dedicated respiratory wards, with enhanced ventilation for infection prevention.
The post holder will be working with a team of Consultants, Specialist Trainees, Clinical Fellows, Core Trainees and Foundation Year Trainees.

To accept a duty to other staff and patients to ensure that any risks, incidents and hazards are reported and managed appropriately.
In conjunction with colleagues, to play a full part in the rota for the department and to provide cover for colleagues in respect of periods of leave and, under agreed circumstances, to be available to provide emergency cover.
To ensure that there are adequate arrangements for hospital staff involved in the care of your patients to be able to contact you when necessary.
