About the Role
- Reporting to the Estates Manager, you will help maintain a safe, secure, and well-presented school site. This includes occasional out-of-hours emergency cover and supporting day-to-day operations, school events, and external lettings.
- You will carry out basic maintenance and repair work such as decorating, minor installations, and general upkeep of fixtures, fittings, and furniture. The role also involves using tools and equipment (e.g., drills, saws) and handling building or maintenance materials safely.
- Additional duties include moving furniture and equipment, delivering internal post and parcels, and assisting with general site logistics. You will also be trained as a Fire Warden, taking part in drills and supporting emergency procedures when needed.
About You
- We are looking for someone practical, reliable, and flexible, with the ability to carry out general maintenance tasks such as painting, repairs, and light grounds work.
- You should be confident communicating with others, able to manage your workload, and comfortable working both independently and as part of a team. A positive, adaptable attitude and willingness to take responsibility are essential.
- The role requires good physical fitness, as it involves manual tasks including lifting and ladder work. You must also be committed to safeguarding children and willing to develop further knowledge in site maintenance, health, and safety.
Pay: £26,656.00-£30,000.00 per year
