Job Summary
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating flatbed lorries to deliver goods efficiently and reliably. This role requires a strong focus on safety, excellent driving skills, and experience in commercial driving and delivery operations. The ideal applicant will possess a valid HGV licence, with previous delivery driver experience preferred.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a flatbed HGV Class 2 vehicle to transport goods to various locations
- Ensure timely and accurate deliveries, adhering to schedules and routes
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any issues promptly
- Secure loads appropriately to prevent movement during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs
- Follow all relevant health and safety regulations during driving and loading/unloading processes
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients as required
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 licence with a clean driving record
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles
- Delivery driver experience is highly desirable
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices in transportation
- Ability to handle physical tasks related to loading and securing cargo
- Excellent organisational skills and punctuality
- Strong communication skills and professional attitude
- Flexibility to work various shifts as required
