As a group, we currently have CQC and OFSTED homes across the West Midlands and support Children and Young people. We are one of the leading providers in the West Midlands specialising in transitional care and vulnerable individuals with experiences relating to Trauma, Abuse and Neglect.
Our provisions are excellent at achieving great outcomes with high-risk young people that need intense therapeutic support via DOLS, and a consistent team.
This position is a full-time position, working 12.5 hour shifts. Either 07.00am – 19.30pm or 19.00pm – 07.30am
The successful applicant will assist the home manager and guide the staff team to provide high quality support and care to young people presenting a variety of diagnosis and behaviours that challenge.
Responsibilities of a Senior / Team Leader:
- Previous experience as a Senior / Team Leader is essential to this role.
- To provide high quality support to people based upon their needs and wishes using a person-centred approach.
- To act as a key worker for individual people where appropriate.
- To take the lead and guide staffing team in dealing with emergency or complex situations that may arise.
- To support people in undertaking activities or development in their own home and in the community, including employment, education, and other opportunities.
- To maintain records as required relating to people's lives, service, and individual financial affairs.
- To assist with the drawing up of risk assessments relating to individuals and the service to protect the health, safety, and welfare of all and to implement and contribute to the review of these.
- To liaise with external parties, carers and parents as required.
- To be responsible for the supervision of other Support Workers as required.
- Take responsibility for the effective and efficient running of shifts.
- A good understanding of CQC and the KLOES.
- A good understanding of Ofsted regulations and how they are put into practice.
- Administer medication and complete clinic room checks. Will be trained to be able to do this.
- To carry out regular checks at the homes during shifts to directly supervise staff and ensure the homes safety and quality of care is maintained to a high standard.
