Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Health Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to service users in the private homes or those receiving home care services. This role involves assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort and safety, and contributing to personalised care plans. Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Support residents in daily activities, including meal preparation and light domestic chores
- Follow individual care plans to meet specific needs and preferences
- Monitor and report on residents’ health and wellbeing, noting any changes or concerns
- Maintain accurate records of care provided using IT systems
- Communicate effectively with residents, their families, and the wider care team
- Drive residents to appointments or outings when required, ensuring safe transportation
- Uphold health and safety standards in line with organisational policies
Experience
- Previous experience working within a care home or providing home care is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills for maintaining electronic records and documentation
- Driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation duties
- Knowledge of care plans and ability to adapt support accordingly is advantageous
