Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Carer to provide exceptional in-home care for a senior businessman requiring support with daily activities. The ideal candidate will possess a genuine passion for caring and have experience in assisting with various health and mobility needs. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering personalised care within the client’s home, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.
Duties
- Provide personalised patient care, including assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
- Administer medication and manage medication schedules in accordance with healthcare plans
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to diabetic requirements and preferences
- Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support clients with mobility, including heavy lifting when necessary, ensuring safe transfer techniques
- Drive client to frequent private appointments including hospitals/doctors in London, Surrey and peacehaven, or social outings as required, maintaining safe driving practices
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in client condition
Qualifications
- Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home settings is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care, managing diabetes and it's associated conditions
- Certification or training in first aid and medication administration is preferred
- Strong caregiving skills with an empathetic approach towards clients’ needs
- Ability to assist with mobility support, including using a wheelchair
- Valid driving licence is essential for transportation duties
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage behavioural challenges effectively
- Compassionate nature with a commitment to providing respectful and dignified care
