Staffpower Group are seeking a reliable and skilled 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our clients team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to customer service and demonstrate excellent driving skills.
Responsibilities
- Operate a 7.5 tonne or 3.5 tonne vehicle for the transportation of goods.
- Ensure all deliveries are completed in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of customer service.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods safely, ensuring that items are secured properly during transit.
- Capable of lifting up to 35KG for some deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery records and complete necessary paperwork.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies regarding safety and conduct.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Qualifications
- Valid UK driving licence with the appropriate category for driving 7.5 tonne vehicles.
- Proven experience as a delivery driver
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service.
Start times vary from 8am - 9am, some days 6.30am due to deliveries
