Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Cover Cleaning Operative to join our professional cleaning team. This role involves providing high-quality cleaning services across various commercial premises, ensuring a clean and hygienic environment for clients. The ideal candidate will be reliable, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently or as part of a team. Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Carry out cleaning duties in commercial settings, including offices, retail outlets, and industrial sites
- Use appropriate cleaning equipment and chemicals to maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness
- Restock supplies such as paper towels, soap, and toilet roll as required
- Ensure all areas are cleaned efficiently and thoroughly, adhering to health and safety guidelines
- Report any maintenance issues or hazards to management promptly
- Maintain a professional appearance and behaviour at all times while on duty
- Follow company procedures for waste disposal and environmentally friendly cleaning practices
Experience
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is advantageous but not mandatory; full training will be provided
- Knowledge of different cleaning techniques and the safe handling of cleaning chemicals is desirable
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and reliability are essential for ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to standard
- Flexibility to adapt to different locations and varying cleaning requirements
This role is ideal for motivated individuals looking to contribute to a clean and safe environment across diverse commercial settings.
This cover is required for 7th July - 17 August 2026 10 hours per week to be completed either 6-8AM or 4-6PM. There may be additional cover work following this period.
Pay: £15.00 per hour
