Electrical Engineer Package Overview:
- £40,000 - £48,000 per annum (Negotiable depending on experience)
- Full-time, Permanent position

Electrical Engineer Company Overview:
Our client is a well-established provider of Industrial Electrical Services with over 40 years of experience supporting customers across the Industrial and Commercial sectors. They have built an outstanding reputation for delivering high-quality electrical installation, maintenance and breakdown services, whilst developing long-term relationships with their customer base.
Working across industries including recycling, manufacturing, printing, farming and processing, they pride themselves on offering varied, technically challenging work rather than repetitive contracting projects. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit experienced Electrical Engineers to join their Breakdown & Maintenance and Installation teams.
Electrical Engineer Role & Responsibilities:
Breakdown Engineers
- Attend customer sites to diagnose electrical faults and carry out breakdown repairs on a wide range of industrial machinery.
- Carry out planned servicing, preventative maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings to identify and resolve faults efficiently.
- Work on a variety of industrial equipment including balers, compactors, shredders, presses, automated systems and processing machinery.
- Deliver excellent customer service whilst maintaining high standards of workmanship.
- Base working hours are 8:00am - 5:00pm, with occasional overnight stays when required.
Installation Engineers
- Carry out industrial electrical installations across a variety of customer sites.
- Install power supplies, lighting, distribution boards, control systems and industrial electrical equipment.
- Complete testing and commissioning works to current regulations.
- Work independently or as part of a team to deliver projects safely and efficiently.
- Base working hours are 8:00am - 4:00pm, with occasional working away depending on project requirements.
General Responsibilities
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to current industry standards.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships on-site.
- Complete all relevant documentation accurately.
- Work professionally whilst representing the business at customer sites.
Electrical Engineer Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working within an Industrial Electrical environment (Essential)
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation / AM2 or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- 2391 Inspection & Testing (Preferred)
- ECS or CSCS Card
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings
- Working knowledge of PLC systems
- Knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical engineering
- Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and use initiative
- Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)
Additional Information:
- This is not a shift-based role.
- Approximately 70% of work is carried out within recycling plants, alongside projects within manufacturing, printing, farming and processing industries.
- Engineers may occasionally be required to stay away from home depending on customer location and project requirements.
