Due to continued growth in our UK sales and distribution business, we are seeking an experienced Management Accountant to join our finance team.
Reporting to the Managing Director, this role will play a key part in supporting financial reporting, business performance and financial control across the organisation. You will also work closely with and support a small finance team responsible for transactional accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting financial reports
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial records
- Support budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning
- Prepare and submit VAT returns and HMRC compliance reporting
- Analyse financial performance and identify opportunities to improve profitability and efficiency
- Monitor inventory levels, stock valuation and margin performance
- Provide financial analysis to support operational and commercial decision-making
- Assist with year-end accounts preparation and audit processes
- Support and oversee a small finance team responsible for transactional accounting activities
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and internal controls
Candidate Requirements
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified or equivelant
- Minimum 4–6 years’ experience in an accounting or finance role
- Strong understanding of management accounting and financial reporting
- Advanced Excel skills and experience using accounting systems such as Sage 50, SAP, NetSuite or similar ERP systems
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across departments
- Ability to manage priorities in a fast-growing business environment
