Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team in Croydon. This is a fantastic temp-to-permanent opportunity for a reliable and hardworking driver looking for long-term employment.
The role involves multi-drop deliveries and handballing of goods, so applicants must be physically fit and comfortable with manual handling.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Driving an 18-tonne HGV Class 2 vehicle safely and efficiently.
- Completing multi-drop deliveries across London and the South East.
- Loading and unloading goods, including handballing when required.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Completing delivery paperwork accurately.
- Providing excellent customer service at delivery locations.
- Following all road transport, health and safety, and company procedures.
Requirements
- Valid UK Category C (Class 2) Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous multi-drop driving experience preferred.
- Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling duties.
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
- Good knowledge of London and surrounding areas is an advantage.
