Job Summary
Pointer Ltd. are recruiting for a highly driven and strategic Business Development Manager to join our team covering the south of England. Operating in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, you will work closely with internal teams to develop and implement growth strategies that align with the company’s objectives, with a strong focus on winning recurring revenue and new maintenance contracts across the region.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for generating leads, securing new recurring revenue and maintenance agreements, negotiating contracts, and expanding the company’s service and maintenance portfolio.
The role requires a proactive approach, strong commercial acumen, and excellent communication skills. You will play a vital role in driving the growth of our maintenance base, ensuring long-term recurring revenue and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and secure new maintenance contract opportunities, building a strong pipeline across the South of England.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with potential and existing clients, with a focus on long-term service partnerships.
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans focused on new maintenance growth.
- Conduct market research to identify service opportunities, competitor activity, and customer needs within the maintenance space.
- Lead the full sales process from prospecting through to closing deals, including contract negotiation.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including service, marketing, and operations, to support maintenance growth.
- Attend industry events, networking functions, and trade shows to expand market reach.
- Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and report on key business metrics.

Required Experience & Qualifications
- Proven ability to identify and win new maintenance or service contracts and convert leads into long-term clients.
- Strong track record in business development or sales within the fire & security industry.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Experience with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
- A proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven approach.
- Current full driving license.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK.
