Protection Advisor
We’re looking for an experienced protection only advisor to work alongside our mortgage advisor team & primarily advise our clients on life insurance, critical illness cover, income protection & family protection products. General insurance in the form of building & contents cover will also be part of our service.
This is a new office based set up within a vastly experienced mortgage brokerage operation with a strong background in protection sales. We see this role as an extension of what we already do & to further specialise our business proposition & enhance our customer experience.
Working within the Mortgage Advice Bureau network, we work with a panel of protection providers including L&G, Aviva, Royal London, Vitality Life, Guardian & LV.
Role Overview
Working alongside the Mortgage Advisors the protection leads will be provided from the new clients via a central support lead management team who are targeted to provide referrals for protection consultation. You will be assessing the customers situation, complete an extension of the mortgage advisers fact find and make recommendations based on the customers needs. You will be liaising closely with the team of mortgage advisers & our central support team to ensure smooth transition of leads, appointments & sales. This is very much a sales role which requires excellent communication & people skills, the ability to work effectively to targets both within a team & independently. You must also be able to demonstrate excellent organisation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing between 30-50 new protection appointments per month
- Providing clear, compliant and suitable protection recommendations
- Accurately documenting all advice and client interactions within our CRM system
- Managing your own pipeline and workload effectively
- Ensuring all advice meets FCA and FH/MAB regulatory standards
Experience
- Minimum 1 years’ experience in Protection Sales
- Strong communication skills
- Highly motivated, organised and target-driven
- Ability to build rapport with clients using a consultative approach
Training and Development
- Full role-specific training provided both internally within FH & MAB specific tailored courses
- Ongoing support and coaching
- Continued development opportunities to support long-term career progression.
