Due to continued growth, we are seeking an HR and Employment Law Advisor to join our Employment team. The successful candidate will support the Employment Solicitors with a variety of tasks, assist with the delivery of our HR and Employment Law subscription service, whilst contributing to the development of strong and lasting client relationships.

ROLE PURPOSE
The successful candidate will work as part of the Employment team, providing HR support and Employment Law guidance through our Oracle service.
The role will involve delivering practical, commercially focused, and legally compliant advice via telephone, email, and other communication channels. The successful candidate will assist clients with a wide range of day-to-day HR and employment matters, identify potential legal risks, and ensure clients are fully informed of the options available and any associated implications.
This position requires excellent communication skills, strong Employment Law and HR knowledge, and the ability to work effectively within a fast-paced environment while consistently maintaining high standards of professionalism and client care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing Employment Law & HR Advice
- Providing legally compliant Employment Law and HR advice to clients
- Advising, assisting, and guiding clients
- Delivering practical, commercially focused solutions tailored to individual client needs
- Highlighting non-compliant options and clearly explaining associated legal and commercial risks
- Supporting clients with disciplinary, grievance, absence management, performance management, redundancy, contracts, policies, and general HR matters
Client & Case Management
- Ensuring all advice and client interactions are accurately recorded on the firm’s case management systems
- Managing client matters efficiently while maintaining high levels of client service
- Maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information professionally
- Building and maintaining strong working relationships with clients to support long-term retention and engagement
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Keeping up to date with developments in Employment Law
- Attending internal training sessions, and departmental meetings
- Ensuring all advice provided is compliant with current legislation and firm procedures
- Accurately recording time and case activity in accordance with firm procedures
Business Development & Team Support
- Promoting additional services the firm provides where appropriate to clients
- Working collaboratively within a busy advisory team environment
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience within Employment Law, HR Advisory, or a similar advisory role
- Strong understanding of Employment Law and HR
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- A professional, confident, and client-focused approach
- Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to research, interpret, and apply legislation quickly and effectively
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Confidence in handling sensitive and confidential matters
- Strong IT skills including experience using Microsoft Office and case management systems
- A willingness to continue developing professionally within Employment Law and HR
