*Position Overview:*
We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Delivery Driver to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of parcels to our valued customers. You will represent our company as the face of our delivery service and play a key role in providing an outstanding customer experience.
*Key Responsibilities:*
1. *Parcel Delivery:* Safely and efficiently deliver parcels to residential and commercial locations within the assigned delivery area.
2. *Route Planning:* Plan and optimize delivery routes to ensure on-time deliveries and minimize fuel consumption.
3. *Customer Service:* Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring packages are delivered with care and courtesy, addressing customer inquiries or concerns when necessary.
4. *Vehicle Maintenance:* Conduct daily vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety issues. Keep the delivery vehicle clean and well-maintained.
5. *Adherence to Regulations:* Adhere to all relevant traffic and safety regulations, including following driving and parking laws.
6. *Paperwork and Documentation:* Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including obtaining customer signatures and maintaining delivery logs.
7. *Communication:* Communicate effectively with management team to provide status updates and resolve any delivery-related issues.
8. *Type of contract*: This is a self employed position and you will be responsible for any tax returns through the year. We have excellent accountants partners that can sort everything out for you upon request.
9. *Van* : Van and insurance provided with the option to take it home. More details will be provided upon the interview
*Qualifications:*
- Valid UK driver's license and a clean driving record (any points up to 6 will be considered based on the type of the offense).
- Excellent knowledge of local routes and areas.
- Strong customer service skills and a professional demeanor.
- Ability to lift and carry packages of various weights.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Good communication skills.
- Prior delivery experience is a must.
