Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to provide high-quality support to individuals in our care home in Hythe. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting clients with daily activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks.
- Support clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence
- Follow individualised care plans to meet specific needs of each client
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance clients’ quality of life
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any concerns to senior staff
- Ensure the safety and comfort of clients at all times, adhering to health and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure coordinated care
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided
- Good command of English language skills, both written and verbal, are essential for effective communication
- Demonstrated reliability, compassion, and professionalism in previous roles within the healthcare sector or related fields
The shifts vary: Day shifts are 7-7, 7-2, 8-8, 8-2, 2-8 and night shifts are 8-8. Flexibility is essential for this role and the successful candidate would need to be able to cover both days and nights when necessary for the continuity of our residents. This role is for day shifts, but the ability to cover nights is essential for holiday and sickness cover.
