Calderdale College is looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed individual to work across the Creative, Digital and Professional Trades curriculum area to support the retention, achievement and progression of 16-19 students on vocational study programmes. The Learning & Skills Coach will work as part of a wider team to ensure students achieve their qualifications and to support them in their next steps in education or employment.
The role involves facilitating the personal development of students by ensuring they are positively engaged with their learning and supported in building the knowledge, skills, and confidence to understand, challenge, and engage with the world around them. This will include the delivery of dynamic curriculum of personal and social skills development relevant to learners at KS5. The role will support the monitoring of learner attendance, supporting the logging and development of work experience, and help students gain meaningful insight into the world of work. The role also involves guiding learners to make informed decisions that support their progression into further education or employment.
