Job Summary
The cracked actor is a victorian style blues bar in the heart of Stockport based on little underbank. We sell a variety of craft beers with a 12 tap all star line up, as well as plenty of spirits, wines and soft drinks.
As cracked actor is a small bar we do require staff members to do lone work on opens and closes on weekdays. This means we need someone with the confidence to work alone and take initiative. Please bare this in mind before applying.
We are seeking a friendly and professional Bartender to join our vibrant hospitality time.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, serving beverages, and ensuring guests have an enjoyable experience. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about hospitality and customer service to develop their skills in a dynamic environment. The successful applicant will possess strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with standard recipes and presentation standards.
- Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, ensuring compliance with food safety standards.
- Manage multiple orders simultaneously while prioritising tasks effectively.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and operate the point-of-sale system efficiently.
- Restock bar supplies as needed, including glassware, garnishes, and beverages.
- Monitor guest behaviour to promote responsible drinking and ensure safety within the premises.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operation during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hospitality or restaurant environment is preferred but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to serve guests courteously and professionally.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively during busy shifts.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as required.
