The Role
As a Energy Consultant, you’ll play a key role in driving business growth by identifying new opportunities while managing your own portfolio of existing clients. This position is ideal for someone confident, motivated, and commercially minded. Previous B2B sales experience within the utilities sector is desirable, but not essential.
Strong communication skills, resilience, and the ability to handle objections effectively are essential to succeed in this role.

Key Responsibilities
- Prospect and generate new business opportunities
- Up-sell and cross-sell from our service catalogue
- Gather and analyse customer and market data
- Secure bill authorisations and customer approvals
- Handle objections and convert them into opportunities
- Maintain accurate, compliant customer records
- Represent the business professionally at all times
- Respond professionally to phone and email enquiries
- Achieve and exceed KPIs and performance targets
- Manage and develop your own client base
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline
- Attend required training and development sessions
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous outbound telesales experience in Energy Highly desirable (B2B or B2C)
- Energy or utilities industry experience preferred, not essential
- Confident in outbound customer engagement
- Strong communication, persuasion, and customer service skills
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Proven experience in a target-driven environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Good IT and computer literacy
- Professional, punctual, and well-presented
- Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn
Experience:
- Ideally 6 months’ sales experience (utilities preferred)
- Minimum 6 months telesales experience (B2B or B2C)
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet KPIs
