HGV Technician – Christchurch£54,000 – £65,000 per annum
We are currently looking to recruit an experienced HGV Technician / Mechanic to join a well-established and growing operation based in the Christchurch area.
This opportunity is open to both qualified and time-served technicians. While an NVQ Level 3 qualification is desirable, it is not essential for candidates with solid hands-on HGV experience. If you have the practical skills and workshop knowledge, we would be keen to speak with you.
The Role
You will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing a range of HGVs, ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant, and roadworthy. Working within a professional and supportive workshop environment, you’ll be joining a business that values its technicians and offers genuine long-term career prospects.
Key Responsibilities
- Routine servicing and preventative maintenance on HGVs
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Using diagnostic equipment effectively and safely
- Completing job cards and workshop documentation accurately
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Supporting the wider workshop team where required
Candidate Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification preferred
- Time-served HGV Technicians with proven experience encouraged to apply
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding ability
- Good attitude with a reliable and proactive approach to work
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
