Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated, skilled and reliable individual to join our Helpdesk team as a Multi Trade Operative. You will be responsible for performing maintenance, alterations and refurbishment tasks at various sites with use of your own basic tools (cordless or 110v). This will involve executing a range of trade skills, such as carpentry, plumbing, painting and general repairs.
This role will be covering Surrey and East and West Sussex - both of which are South of the River Thames, so would suit someone who lives local to these areas.
You would be required to join our schedule for emergency call outs - out of hours working which is approximately 1 week in 5 covering ALL areas we serve (London and the South East)
Duties
- Reactive Maintenance & Alterations - Handle daily repairs and refurbishments.
- Multi-Trade Tasks - Execute work across various trades, including:
- Carpentry - First & second fix, door/lock fitting, flooring.
- Plumbing - Basic fixes like tap replacements.
- Painting & Decorating - Making good, patch repairs.
- Other - Tiling, plastering, fencing, glazing, and general building work.
- Customer Service - Liaise with residents, manage appointments, keep sites clean, and maintain professional communication.
- Health & Safety - Adhere to safety regulations, complete risk assessments (RAMS), and use appropriate PPE.
- Manage van stock, order materials and minimise waste.
Qualifications/Experience
- Proficiency in multiple trade skills
- Experience in maintenance and alterations
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high quality work
- Valid drivers licence
- Training certificates
