We are seeking an Assistant SENDCo to join our team at Epsom and Ewell High School, part of Bourne Education Trust.

Position: Assistant SENDCo
Contract: Term time plus 2 weeks, permanent
Hours: 36 hours per week, 39 weeks per year (Mon - Fri, 8am - 4pm)
Salary: Support Pay Scale 6 (Fringe) Surrey. FTE £31,658 - Pro rata £24,397
Responsible to: SENDCo and ultimately Headteacher

Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the day-to-day administrative operations of the SEND department, ensuring all files, digital records, and pupil databases are updated in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice and statutory guidelines
- Manage the administrative processing of SEND admissions and mid-term entries, ensuring a timely response to paperwork
- Liaise administratively with feeder schools to coordinate the smooth transition of new pupils, including receiving, analysing, cataloguing, and securely archiving incoming SEND student files
Essential requirements include:
- Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of children
- GCSE English and Mathematics at Grade C / 4 or above (or equivalent qualification)
- Proven track record of continuous professional development
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
