Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Plastic Moulding Injection Operatior to join our Night Team within a dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining plastic injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic components. Your expertise will help ensure efficient production processes, uphold safety standards, and deliver precision parts that meet our strict quality requirements. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor plastic injection molding machines, ensuring optimal performance and product quality.
- Conduct routine inspections of molds, machinery, and finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
- Perform quality inspections throughout the production process to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
- Handle materials safely and efficiently using materials handling equipment such as forklifts and press brake machines.
- Maintain accurate production records, including shift logs, inspection reports, and machine maintenance documentation.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues with machinery, including CNC lathe machines and CNC equipment related to plastics fabrication.
- Assist in the setup and calibration of auxiliary equipment like plastics blow molding, plastics extrusion lines, and fabrication tools.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives by applying lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow and reduce waste.
- Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of hand tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks related to finished plastic components as needed.
Experience Required
- Previous experience working in plastics manufacturing or injection molding environments is highly desirable but not essential
- Openness to learn machine operating with a positive attitude
- Be dependable and reliable
- Willingness to work overnight shift
- Full training provided
