We currently have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join our clients team based in the Sunderland area!
Our client is a well-established, reputable and expanding renewable energy specialist looking to expand its Project Management team.
We are pleased to be able to offer this role on a full time, permanent basis. Therefore, if successful, you'll be employed directly by our client on a permanent contract.
What you'll be doing:
Our client operates in the commercial renewable energy space and has a number of large, unique and prime projects with more in the pipeline, something that's motivated their need to hire.
Typical duties will see you managing a range of commercial Solar PV installation projects.
Duties will include:
- Managing contracts from inception through to completion.
- Organizing labour, materials, plant hire and material supply.
- Meeting with clients to discuss project progress.
- Ensure the project remains in line with budgets and is delivered within the required time constraints.
- Deal with any issues each project may face.
- Provide progress reports to internal management.
- Manage a team of on site staff and subcontractors, with the assistance of site supervisors etc.
- Conduct site visits to ensure work is going ahead as planned, solve issues and understand progress and set sites up ready for works.
Although based in Sunderland, this role would require nationwide travel to site depending on where the project is located.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 08:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
Flexible working options available.
Pay:
£50,000.00 - £55,000.00 per year, depending on experience.
Experience required:
- The ideal candidate must have at least 3 years’ experience in Project Management within the renewable energy sector.
- Must have a strong understanding on electrical installations around solar panels / solar set ups.
- Must have a full UK driving license.
- The role is split between the office close to Sunderland and sites across the UK so the ideal candidate must be prepared to travel.
