La Fosse are supporting a global services organisation undergoing a significant applications transformation programme and are looking to appoint an experienced Interim Applications Project Manager on an initial 3-month contract, with strong potential for extension.
This role will play a critical part in supporting the transition of internal applications and services to a Managed Service Provider (MSP). The successful candidate will operate within a fast-paced environment, managing multiple workstreams while engaging with senior stakeholders across the business and third-party suppliers.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Applications Project Manager who is comfortable working independently, thrives under pressure, and has a proven background delivering service transition and transformation programmes within global organisations.
The Role
Reporting into senior programme leadership, you will be responsible for driving key applications transition activities across a complex global environment. You will work closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and external providers to support the successful delivery of the transformation programme.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing multiple concurrent projects and workstreams across the applications landscape
- Supporting the transition of internal applications and services to a Managed Service Provider
- Leading knowledge transfer and secondary support transition activities
- Producing and maintaining high-quality project documentation, process maps, workflows, and reporting packs
- Engaging confidently with senior stakeholders, including CIO-level leadership and third-party suppliers
- Supporting change management activities across technical and business functions
- Understanding current operating models and supporting the transition to target operating models
- Ensuring clear governance, communication, and delivery tracking throughout the programme lifecycle
You
The Interim Applications Project Manager will have prior experience of:
- Proven experience transitioning internal applications/services to a Managed Service Provider (essential)
- Strong Applications or IT Project Management experience within complex environments
- Experience working within global or multinational organisations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, including engagement with C-suite stakeholders
- Strong documentation and process mapping capability using tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, or workflow platforms
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously within fast-paced transformation programmes
- Strong understanding of change management and operational transformation
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
- Clear and confident communicators
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous or evolving environments
- Able to work effectively under pressure
- Proactive and self-sufficient in their approach
