We are seeking a Kitchen Porter to join our team in a bustling restaurant setting. The ideal candidate will assist in maintaining cleanliness and orderliness within the kitchen environment, supporting the culinary team in food preparation and ensuring a smooth operation.
Duties:
- Assist in basic food preparation tasks under the guidance of chefs
- Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support chefs during service by fetching ingredients and helping with plating
- Handle deliveries and store food supplies appropriately
- Maintain a tidy and organised kitchen environment
Skills:
- Previous experience in a similar role within a hotel, hospitality, or restaurant setting
- Basic culinary knowledge to assist with food preparation
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with kitchen staff
- Good communication skills to follow instructions from chefs accurately
