School Caretaker – Full Time (37.5 hours per week)

A large, well‑established secondary school in Bishop’s Stortford is seeking a reliable and proactive School Caretaker to join their site team. This is a varied, hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys practical work, problem‑solving and keeping a busy school environment running smoothly.
About the Role
- 37.5 hours per week, typically 7.30am – 3.30pm
- All‑year‑round contract, including school holidays
- 24 days annual leave plus 9 bank holidays
- Additional paid hours available for school events (e.g. parents’ evenings, governors’ meetings)
- Work as part of a supportive site team
- Liaise with contractors, cleaning teams and external service providers
- Maintain high standards of safety, security and presentation across the school site
- A full driving licence (or working towards one) is required, subject to checks
