B&M Care’s Ashlyns Care Home in Berkhamsted is looking for a weekend Activities Organiser. Your hours of work will be Saturday and Sunday, 10am to 4pm. You are to enhance the residents’ quality of life through a lifestyle programme and framework that stimulates meaningful occupation in the home.
Duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Support the Engagement Lead in developing an engaging and meaningful activity programme.
- Promote a whole team approach to Engagement and Wellbeing; planning within the B&M activity framework.
- Work with the Engagement Lead to plan activities for any hours on duty as Activity Organiser; ensuring there are suitable resources and the environment is appropriate.
- Consult with the Engagement Lead on any plans and in particular to request any additional resources that may be required.
- Provide support and companionship during activities.
- Identify any special interest/s that each resident may have and plan activities to support this.
Essential Skills, Characteristics and Experience:
- To hold a full UK Manual Driving Licence (Willing to train to drive mini bus)
