The Role: What You’ll Do
As a Clinical Assessor, you’ll use your clinical knowledge in a highly rewarding, structured role:
Your Key Responsibilities
- Assess claimants via telephone and face-to-face appointments
- Evaluate medical evidence, functional ability & daily living challenges
- Compile high-quality clinical reports for the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP)
- Interview individuals to understand the real-world impact of their health conditions
This is an ideal opportunity if you enjoy a mix of direct interaction, clinical reasoning, and report writing—without the physical intensity of frontline clinical work.
Training & Development You’ll receive a
comprehensive 7-week fully paid training programme, covering:
- Structured assessment techniques
- DWP standards & guidance

Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year post-registration experience in an adult setting
- Active NMC or HCPC registration
- Confident communication & strong IT/report-writing skills
- Ability to analyse clinical evidence objectively
