Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in meal preparation and food safety, with a keen interest in culinary arts. As a chef, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our dishes are prepared to the highest standards, contributing to an exceptional dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and hygienic manner, adhering to food safety regulations.
- Assist with the organisation of the kitchen, including maintaining cleanliness and orderliness.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and high-quality food presentation.
- Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
- Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
- Participate in menu planning and development as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a cook in a restaurant or similar environment is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of meal preparation techniques and food safety standards.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards helping others in the kitchen.
- A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
