Our client, a well-established and growing logistics business based in Bootle, is seeking an experienced Warehouse Team Leader to join their operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated warehouse professional looking to take ownership of daily warehouse activities while leading a small team in a fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing warehouse operations, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained, coordinating workloads, and supporting the efficient movement of goods throughout the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support warehouse operatives to achieve daily operational targets.
- Coordinate and oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods.
- Ensure all warehouse activities are carried out safely and efficiently.
- Operate FLT equipment as required to support warehouse operations.
- Conduct regular stock checks and maintain inventory accuracy.
- Allocate workloads and monitor team performance.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and health & safety regulations.
- Liaise with transport, logistics, and management teams to ensure smooth operations.
- Provide shift and holiday cover as required to maintain operational continuity.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the warehouse.
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience in a Warehouse Team Leader, Supervisor, or Senior Warehouse Operative role.
- Valid FLT Licence (essential).
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential).
- Strong understanding of warehouse processes and health & safety requirements.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible approach to working hours and holiday cover requirements.
