VACANCY: Press Brake Operative
LOCATION: Rotherham, S60 (Close to Meadowhall, Sheffield)
SHIFT: Friday - Sunday 6am - 6pm - plus one midweek 8 hour shift.

MTL Advanced is a Yorkshire-based steel engineering and manufacturing company operating from a 300,000 sq. ft. facility in Rotherham.
We have invested in an extensive range of technology and equipment and provide services to a range of OEM’s from leading industries including defence, security, construction, quarrying, recycling and rail.
Our inhouse capabilities include, large format Laser Cutting and Press Braking, CNC Precision Machining, Fabrication & Welding, Shot Blasting, Painting and final Assembly.
We are looking to welcome an experienced Press Break Operator to our team, producing quality products to meet the exacting demands of our valued customers. This is an exciting opportunity to further your career within a fast paced, innovative and dynamic organisation.
You will be running primarily a Press brake with CNC facility to deliver engineered components, inspecting the product to ensure quality, potentially adjusting the machine to bring production up to standard, perform periodic checks on output and maintenance, and make sure the machine is stocked with materials.
From the moment you join MTL Advanced you will be hands on in operations.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
· Pressing using the Brake Presses to produce customers’ orders on time and to the correct quality standard
· Setting up the machine - reading drawings, programming machine, tooling changes etc.
· Marking up of pressed parts and packing
· Robot Programming
· Material Handling - manoeuvring of materials on to and off the press machines, either by crane or manually
ABOUT YOU:
· Previous Press Brake operating and setting experience essential
· Ideally knowledge of Cybelec Software programming
· Ability to read, understand and follow 1st and 3rd angle projection drawings
· Knowledge of working with different grades of metal
· Competent at using all forms of measuring equipment, i.e. Vernier, rulers, angle measuring devices
· A flexible approach to be able to adapt to changing and challenging requirements
· Quality focused with attention to detail
· Excellent communicator
· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to generate innovative concepts and ideas.
