Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated, self motivated and professional Housekeeper/Nanny to support us in our busy family life. The role can be live in or live out in an independent annex.
We hope to find a housekeeper who is not afraid to take charge and will organise the household largely independently.
At least two long days per week are required (either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday) from 7pm to 8pm. Your further hours (to make up to full time) can be at hours to be agreed but should cover school pick up time to at least 6pm.
During term time, your primary role is as a housekeeper with after school care for the children or care for them when they are unwell. You will also be willing to do homework with them and prepare a meal for them. You should also be able to assist them in packing for the next school day.
During school holidays, when we are not away, your role will be more focussed on the children and taking them to activities or organising things at home to keep three lively boys aged 5, 8 and 10 entertained.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning and housekeeping tasks, including laundry, dusting, vacuuming, and organising household items
- Prepare meals and snacks
- Assist with childcare duties such as supervising children’s activities, helping with homework, and organising playdates or outings
- Manage household supplies inventory and organise shopping trips for groceries and essentials
- Maintain the cleanliness and organisation of all living areas, including bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, and communal spaces
- Support family members with daily routines to promote a smooth household operation
- Communicate effectively with family members to ensure their needs are met promptly and professionally
- Occasional babysitting
- Requirements
- Proven experience in running a home - this may be running your own home
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to manage household routines independently
- Caring and respectful attitude towards children and family members - we want you to feel welcome in our family
- to work flexibly within the agreed schedule while maintaining professionalism at all times
Pay: £17.00-£20.00 per hour
