Jupiter Construction are proud to be starting a commercial, project in the Humber area and we are looking for a suitable local Site Manager with experience of working in a Refurbishment Environment. This is a position to come on board and manage the Planned Works. Working closely with the Contracts Team, you will manage the day-to-day operation of the works of projects up to £2M.
Pay is negotiable depending on experience.
Daily responsibilities for the successful Site Manager will include:
- Record dilapidations prior to setting up site.
- Set up site prior to the commencement of project work Including siting welfare cabins, managing service connections, segregation & signage.
- Plan projects and ensure they meet contract specifications, Design, budget, and timescales.
- Oversee all aspects of construction work including all trades.
- Liaising with clients, professional staff (such as architects and surveyors) and the public and reporting progress.
- Supervising direct labour and contracted staff & meeting subcontractors.
- Checking and preparing site reports, designs, and drawings.
- Maintaining quality control procedures and gathering evidence and compiling QA documents.
- Ensure timesheets are accurate and agreed with line manager.
- Provide regular project updates to Contracts manager & QS.
- Using specialist construction management computer applications (Procore, 1Breadcrumb & Microsoft office).
- Will be required to upload documentation to the project management software (Procore). Training will be provided.
- Keep a detailed daily diary on Procore including labour levels, project details and photos.
- Organising and arranging the procurement of materials and plant and managing assets on site.
- Managing the H&S of all trades, visitors and the public on and around site.
- Conducting safety inspections and ensuring construction health and site safety. And that it complies with the company H&S policy.
- Carry out toolbox talks.
- Manage temporary works including conducting inspections and recording any findings.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the client representatives and customers as appropriate and maintain best practice introducing innovative processes which will add value and drive efficiencies.
- Experience managing various construction works projects of mid to large scale.

- Regularly review service delivery.
- Operational focus - Someone who can manage various processes, can oversee the operational delivery of the project and is very organised.

Requirements for the role:
- You will have a proven track record and experience of managing major works projects up to the value of £2,000,000
- The successful candidate will be able to work productively in a pressured environment, act decisively when faced with urgent issues while consistently always maintaining a high level of service.
- Must have SMSTS, CSCS card and First Aid.
- Must have good IT skills. Including experience of the system Procore, Outlook, Word and Excell.
- 5 years’ experience as a Site Manager.
- Good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety and current building regulations.
- Good references required from recent employment.
- Qualifications and awareness in Temporary works.
- DBS - desirable but not essential
- Procore/management software experience - desirable but not essential
- 1Breadcrumb/ H&S software experience - desirable but not essential
