Are you passionate about supporting the mental health of children and young people? This flexible Care Support Worker role with Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference within Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
Working as part of the NHS Professionals Bank, you’ll provide compassionate, person‑centred care in an inpatient setting, supporting children and adolescents with a range of mental health needs. You’ll play a key role in creating a safe, supportive and therapeutic environment, working closely with a multidisciplinary team to promote dignity, wellbeing and recovery.

Key responsibilities
- Deliver holistic, high‑quality mental health care
- Promote dignity, privacy and safeguarding at all times
- Support patient admissions and orientation to the ward
- Assist with daily living activities, personal care and emotional support
- Contribute to and work within individual care plans
- Support mealtimes, nutrition and hydration
- Carry out escort duties and therapeutic engagement
- Help maintain a safe, clean and structured inpatient environment
- Work collaboratively with nurses, clinicians and the wider care team
Essential criteria
- Experience in a children’s inpatient ward or mental health service
- A qualification related to mental health care (or working towards one)
- Experience providing care in a personal or professional setting
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary clinical team
OR
- Student Mental Health Nurse with a minimum of 12 weeks’ clinical placement experience in CAMHS
