Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part Time School Cleaner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment within the school premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming space for students, staff, and visitors. This role offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time employment, with an emphasis on professionalism and efficiency.
Hours of work 6.00am-9.00am Monday-Friday (15 hours per week)
Due to the location applicants would need their own source of transport.
Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces across various areas of the school.
- Clean and sanitise toilets, washbasins, and other sanitary facilities to uphold hygiene standards.
- Empty bins and dispose of waste in accordance with waste management policies.
- Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, reporting any damages or shortages promptly.
- Ensure all areas are kept tidy and presentable at all times, including classrooms, hallways, offices, and communal spaces.
- Follow health and safety procedures to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
- Adhere to school policies regarding cleaning protocols during school hours or designated times outside of class schedules.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial work is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling procedures is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual with a professional attitude towards work responsibilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a school environment, respecting confidentiality and safeguarding policies.
