Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Housekeeper to oversee the cleanliness and organisation of our holiday accommodations. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, with excellent leadership skills to manage a small team of housekeeping staff. This role offers an opportunity to ensure high standards of cleanliness, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency within a professional environment.
The accommodations are located in Beddgelert and Penrhydeudraeth so own transportation is preferred.
Hours will range from 9am - 3pm approx and flexibility to works week days and weekends is a must as check in/out days vary.
All cleaning chemicals and equipment is provided.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations to maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation.
- Lead, motivate, and train housekeeping staff to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to health and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure compliance with standards.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring timely replenishment and maintenance.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules, procedures, and quality control measures.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special cleaning projects or event preparations.
- Handle guest requests or complaints related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies across all housekeeping activities.
Experience
- Experience in housekeeping management or a similar hospitality environment.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a team desirable but not essential
- Knowledge of hospitality industry standards and best practices for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively under pressure.
Pay: £14.00-£15.50 per hour
