Job Overview
We are seeking a professional HGV Class 2 Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of goods across various locations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Duties
- Operate flatbed lorries and other HGV Class 2 vehicles to deliver goods to clients and distribution centres
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on time, maintaining high standards of customer service
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any faults or issues promptly
- Secure loads appropriately using suitable equipment and techniques to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with legal requirements
- Adhere strictly to road safety regulations and company policies at all times
- Assist with loading and unloading goods when necessary, ensuring safe handling procedures are followed
Skills
- Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with flatbed vehicles or similar HGVs
- Plant experience
- Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for delivery driving
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving licence for HGV Class 2 vehicles
- Previous delivery driver experience is highly desirable, demonstrating reliability and professionalism
- Ability to organise routes efficiently, managing time effectively to meet delivery schedules
- Good communication skills to liaise with clients and team members effectively
- Physically fit, capable of handling load securing tasks and assisting with manual handling when required
