As a Senior Underwriter, you’ll be a key contributor leading the development, negotiation and profitable underwriting of specialist cases. You’ll work on complex, unique and higher‑value risks, applying deep analysis and building strong relationships with brokers and clients to deliver tailored solutions.

Underwrite and negotiate complex specialist risks, delivering profitable growth in line with underwriting appetite and strategy.
Provide expert underwriting support to partners and customers, including on-site engagement where required.
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, partners and key stakeholders to support successful business outcomes.
Act as a technical referral point, providing coaching, mentoring and guidance to colleagues across the team.
Support the development of underwriting capability through training, feedback and knowledge sharing.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, underwriting standards and governance controls, escalating risks where appropriate.
Investigate and resolve customer complaints professionally and in line with company policy.
Conduct underwriting audits and reviews, identifying opportunities to improve quality, consistency and performance.
Manage workload effectively to deliver service excellence and achieve agreed business objectives.
Continuously enhance technical expertise and market knowledge through professional development, industry engagement and networking.
Qualified Dip CII or commitment to achieve within an agreed timescale
Market, Industry and Company knowledge
A proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service
Experience of acting as a coach within a commercial environment
Experience of effective stakeholder management within a commercial environment
