Responsibilities as Breakfast Chef:
- Managing the breakfast section independently, ensuring smooth and efficient morning service
- Preparing and delivering high-quality breakfast dishes to a consistent standard
- Ensuring all mise en place is completed prior to service, including hot and cold breakfast items
- Maintaining excellent stock control, minimising waste, and ensuring proper rotation of ingredients
- Taking responsibility for the quality and freshness of all breakfast produce and prepared items
- Executing breakfast service efficiently, maintaining speed without compromising quality
- Ensuring the cleanliness, organisation, and readiness of the kitchen, particularly after early service
- Supporting the Head Chef / Sous Chef in maintaining overall kitchen standards
- Maintaining a positive, proactive attitude, especially during early morning shifts
- Complying with all health & safety regulations, food hygiene standards, and company policies
- Carrying out additional duties as required by senior kitchen management
The Ideal Breakfast Chef:
- Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie, or similar role in a quality establishment
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced morning service
- Passion for fresh, high-quality ingredients and well-presented dishes
- Highly organised with excellent time management skills, particularly for early starts
- Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistency in early morning shifts
- Professional, well-presented, and a strong team player
- Demonstrates commitment, consistency, and longevity in previous roles
