Do you have a passion for helping young people with additional needs thrive, both in and out of the classroom?
A welcoming primary school in the GL51 area is looking for an energetic, caring, and motivated SEN Behaviour Mentor to join their team this term. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys being active and wants to use movement, sport, and positive relationships to support primary-aged pupils in building confidence, resilience, and emotional regulation.
What You’ll Do
- Support pupils with additional needs (such as autism, ADHD, or SEMH) to engage positively with learning.
- Use sport, games, and physical activities to promote teamwork, focus, and self-regulation.
- Build strong, trusting relationships that help pupils develop self-belief and communication skills.
- Work closely with teachers, pastoral leads, and specialist staff to create inclusive, supportive learning environments.
- Encourage confidence, respect, and an active, healthy mindset throughout the school day.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience supporting young people with SEN or behaviour needs.
- A positive, energetic, and patient attitude.
- An interest or background in education, additional needs, youth work, or physical activity (formal qualifications are welcome but not essential).
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A genuine enthusiasm for supporting pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development.
What You’ll Get
- A chance to work within a nurturing school at the heart of the GL51 community.
- A supportive and friendly staff team who value collaboration and well-being.
- Ongoing training and development in SEN, behaviour support, and movement-based interventions.
- The reward of helping young people gain confidence, regulate emotions, and achieve their best - through sport and beyond.

- Position is to begin before the end of this academic year, to continue into the 2026/27 academic year
