Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Waitress to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with food presentation in a welcoming environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a memorable experience to our customers while maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous, but full training will be provided for the right candidate.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, tea, and specialised drinks, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Take orders accurately and efficiently, providing attentive service to all customers.
- Assist with food preparation and presentation, ensuring dishes meet our quality standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments using the POS system.
- Provide friendly advice on menu items and promote daily specials to enhance customer experience.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines at all times, including food safety procedures.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
Experience
- Previous experience as a barista or waitress is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred.
- Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
- Basic maths skills are necessary for handling transactions accurately.
