The School and Role
Justteachers is seeking a Cover Supervisor, who is looking for a Long term role, in a Secondary school in the Blackburn area on a full time basis. The role is set to commence in September 2026, with shortlisting currently underway.
A well-established secondary school in Blackburn with a strong focus on pupil progress and behaviour, offering a supportive leadership team and inclusive environment where staff are valued and developed
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise classes in absence of teaching staff
- Deliver pre-set lesson plans across multiple subjects
- Maintain positive classroom behaviour
- Ensure students remain on task and engaged
- Provide basic support to students where required
- Report back on lesson progress and behaviour
- Follow school policies and procedures
- Manage classroom attendance and safeguarding
- Support a calm and structured learning environment
- Assist with general school duties when needed
Requirements:
- UK school experience essential
- Strong classroom behaviour management skills
- Confident delivering lessons across subjects
- Good communication and organisational skills
