The Role
As Sous Chef, you’ll work closely with our Head Chef to lead the day-to-day kitchen operations. You’ll take ownership of service delivery, support team development, and contribute to menu creation and kitchen strategy. This is a hands-on role that offers real influence, professional growth, and the chance to be part of something special.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in running kitchen service with consistency and calm
- Help manage and motivate the wider kitchen team
- Contribute ideas to menu development and seasonal updates
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, prep, and food safety
- Take ownership of stock management, ordering, and cost control
- Train and mentor junior chefs, fostering a culture of learning and support
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or strong Junior Sous Chef ready to step up
- A solid foundation in modern British cuisine and seasonal ingredients
- Leadership qualities: organised, supportive, and clear in communication
- Comfortable under pressure with a positive, can-do attitude
- Commitment to high standards, with pride in every plate
