About the Role
We are currently recruiting for a General Duties Operative to join the team at Skoda Burntwood. This is a varied and hands-on role that will suit someone who enjoys working in a busy dealership environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards across all areas of the site.
The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of duties including vehicle movement, valeting, and supporting the day-to-day running of the dealership.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving and moving vehicles safely around the dealership and between locations when required.
- Preparing vehicles for customer handover and display.
- Taking photos of new and used cars ready for advertising.
- Washing, cleaning, and valeting vehicles to a high standard.
- Maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the showroom, forecourt, and site.
- Carrying out general site duties and supporting various departments as needed.
- Conducting basic vehicle checks and reporting any issues.
- Assisting with deliveries, collections, and vehicle logistics.
- Ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
What We're Looking For
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
- Confident and competent driver with excellent vehicle handling skills.
- Reliable, hardworking, and flexible approach to work.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude.
- Previous valeting or automotive experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
