Deputy Manager - Magdalene Preschool
Term time only
We are looking for an experienced Deputy manager for a permanent position, subject to a 6-month probation period.
The successful candidate will join our friendly busy preschool in Croydon. The candidate will join a team of 4 others and support the Manager to run the preschool & provide leadership & vision.
Our preschool is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check.
All candidates need to have NVQ 3 in childcare and have experience of working in a nursery/preschool environment.
The candidate will be fully support & have the opportunity for on-going training needs.
This position is term time only (38 weeks per year)
34.00 hours per week
8:30am- 3.15pm Monday - Friday
Salary £23,078.91
Deputy Manager Duties:
- Delivering outstanding care and education in line with the EYFS- overseeing 'Planning in the moment’
- Deputy Safeguarding officer
- Lead SENCO
- Support Manager to help guide the team members on effective parent communication and parental partnerships
- Support the manager in all aspects of the setting operation, so that the setting is compliant with Ofsted and setting policies
- Ensure that each child’s wellbeing is met and that they thrive in a safe environment
Deputy Manager requirements:
- Leadership skills
- Good knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage
- Strong people skills with the ability to listen, support and guide colleagues
Desirable requirements:
- Knowledge of SEN & Safeguarding
- Knowledge of Planning in the moment
- NVQ level 3
