Overview
Smile Architect is looking for a dedicated Dental Nurse, either qualified or trainee, to join our dental practice. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a professional and supportive environment. Previous experience in dental nursing is desirable but not essential, as training will be provided for the right candidate.
Duties
- Assist dentists during various dental procedures, ensuring smooth and efficient operations
- Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials prior to appointments
- Provide support to patients, including explaining procedures and ensuring their comfort
- Maintain strict infection control protocols and sterilise equipment in accordance with health and safety standards
- Record patient information accurately in dental records and update details as required
- Manage appointment schedules and handle administrative tasks related to patient care
- Support the team with general organisational duties to ensure the smooth running of the practice
- Adhere to all practice policies, including confidentiality and data protection regulations
Skills
- Strong patient care skills with a compassionate approach towards patients of all ages
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Basic knowledge of nursing principles relevant to dental care or willingness to learn
- Good IT skills for managing electronic records and appointment systems
- Organisational skills to prioritise tasks effectively in a busy environment
- Ability to work well within a team, demonstrating professionalism and reliability
- For trainees, a keen interest in developing a career within dental nursing is essential; for qualified nurses, current registration or certification is required
