Are you a talented Chef looking for flexible work in a variety of fast paced kitchens? Enjoy the opportunity to cook at a range of pubs, bistros, hotels, and casual dining venues across Swindon and surrounding areas.
This is an ideal role for experienced chefs who enjoy variety, independence, and working in dynamic kitchen environments. You’ll step in and support our clients as and when needed – meaning no two weeks are ever the same.
Looking for flexibility as weekend work will be essential with days off in the week.
Current shift patterns are 09:30am - 14.00pm and then same day return at 17:30pm - 21.30pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, cook, and present dishes to a consistently high standard, whilst coming up with new ideas for the menu.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, ensuring food safety regulations are met
- Work efficiently under pressure in busy service environments
- Help with stock control and waste reduction
- Assist with kitchen cleaning and washing up as required
- Deliver consistent portion sizes and quality across all dishes
- Work independently or as part of a team, depending on the shift
What We’re Looking For:
- Fully fledged Chef (Not Sous Chef please)
- Previous experience in a fast-paced kitchen (bistro, pub, or hotel preferred)
- Solid culinary skills and a passion for fresh, seasonal food
- Able to stay calm, organized, and professional during busy shifts
- Flexible and happy to travel to different client sites around Swindon
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications are a bonus, but not essential
